Shape Handmade Paper into Dimensional Art

Discover How to Transform Handmade Paper into Three-Dimensional Creations

Handmade paper isn't limited to flat artwork. In this workshop, you'll learn the techniques for shaping handmade paper over simple forms to create beautiful three-dimensional pieces.

Together, we'll explore how to work with armatures such as plastilina clay, aluminum foil, wire, paper, and other materials to support and shape your artwork. You'll discover how different armatures affect the final result and gain the confidence to choose the right approach for future projects.

This workshop is about learning the technique, not copying a specific art piece. Once you understand the process of forming handmade paper over a structure, you'll be able to apply these skills to your own creative ideas, from decorative forms and nature-inspired pieces to future sculptural work.

Whether you're continuing from the Paper Flower Workshop or bringing your own handmade paper, this class will help you move beyond flat paper and begin creating with depth, form, and dimension.

This is a guided workshop where we'll explore the process together from beginning to end. Because each technique builds on the previous one, participants should plan to attend the full three-hour session. I'll demonstrate each step, share tips from my own creative practice, and offer individual guidance as you discover how to shape handmade paper into dimensional forms.
