I ______ am in control of my Time. I can create, I can nap, I can breath.
ARTIST AFFIRMATION 12-30-2024 I ______ am in control of my Time. I can create, i can nap, I can breath.
Creative Exercise: "My Time, My Power"
This exercise is designed to help you embrace the affirmation and take conscious control of your time.
Day 1: Personalize the Affirmation
Write down the affirmation in your journal or on a piece of paper, filling in the blank with your name:
"I, [Your Name], am in control of my Time. I can create, I can nap, I can breathe."
Say it aloud three times, letting the words sink in.
Day 2: Create Your "Time Map"
Divide a blank sheet of paper into three sections labeled:
Create
Nap
Breathe
Take a few minutes to reflect on what each of these words means to you.
Under Create, list things you enjoy making—this could be art, writing, cooking, planning, or even creating a calm space for yourself.
Under Nap, jot down moments or activities that help you rest and recharge. This could include literal naps, meditation, or simply relaxing with no agenda.
Under Breathe, write what grounds you—this could be breathing exercises, nature walks, mindfulness, or just sitting still.
Day 3: Visualize Your Ideal Day
Using your "Time Map," design a day that includes all three elements. For example:
Morning: 30 minutes of creating something (drawing, journaling, etc.).
Afternoon: A 20-minute nap or restful activity.
Evening: Deep breathing or mindfulness to wind down.
Be creative! Imagine a perfect day where you feel balanced and in control.
Day 4: Manifest Your Control
Take one actionable step from your "Time Map" and schedule it into your week.
For example:
Set an alarm for a creative block.
Dedicate 15 minutes daily for breathing exercises.
Plan a guilt-free nap or restful moment.
Day 5: Anchor the Affirmation
Return to your affirmation at the start and end of the day. Repeat:
"I, [Your Name], am in control of my Time. I can create, I can nap, I can breathe."
Reflection (Optional)
At the end of the week, journal about your experience. Did you feel more in control of your time? What activities felt most fulfilling? How can you continue this practice?
